I work through the common misconceptions that often make students confused and overwhelmed. I adapt to the learner’s needs and work with their school so progress can be seen.

Have specific goals? Need to pass an exam or reach an ambitious grade? I support and direct learners towards the best resources to help them achieve their goals. My coaching style sets learners up for long term success.

Held back by others’ expectations? Does everything make sense now? Want to be challenged and go beyond the syllabus? Passing exams is important but the grade alone doesn’t tell the full story. I will spark an interest and joy in mathematics to grow learners’ sense of perspective and purpose of maths as a tool and a life-long skill.

About me

I qualified as a Maths Teacher in 2008. I have enjoyed teaching a wide range of abilities and ages from Year 5 to Year 13 (Key Stage 2 up to GCSE and A level). I currently teach maths part time at Richard Huish College, Taunton.
Whatever stage you are at now I am sure I can help you overcome difficulties and secure your understanding. By using well thought through questions and rich learning tasks, I will help you make rapid progress, boost your confidence and empower you to achieve your potential.
